Jacob N. Hyde PsyD

Founder

Jacob is the founder and principal scientist at Warfighter, where he leverages his expertise in human cognition and behavior to develop innovative training, evaluation, and performance solutions within the space and defense industries. His work focuses on optimizing human performance in both natural and built operational environments.

A former fleet marine force corpsman in the 2nd Marine Division, Jacob gained invaluable firsthand insight into human behavior in austere, extreme, and high-stress environments during combat service. He earned a doctorate in psychology and held faculty positions at the University of Denver and the University of Arizona. He currently maintains academic affiliations with the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and the Institute in Place, Wellbeing & Performance, both at the University of Arizona.

As a scientist and licensed clinical psychologist, Jacob led multi-disciplinary teams of scientists in the invention of non-invasive stress measurement technologies that utilize AI/ML, leading to patents and publications in the fields of medicine, environmental psychology, and operational psychology. His research provides critical insights into human performance within training and operational environments, further positioning Warfighter as a leading provider of tailored training and evaluation solutions in the space and defense sectors.
