Jacob Hyde, PsyD

Dr. Hyde has very limited openings for surgeons only contact.

Dr. Hyde works at the forefront of the evolving relationship between humanity and technology.

His expertise encompasses a multifaceted blend of research, technology development, and clinical practice. On the research front, his focus is on alignment between technology (AI/ML) and the human perspective. He also pioneers non-invasive stress monitoring technology, leveraging wearable sensors, thermal sensors, electro-optical sensors, and sweat biomarkers to detect both overt and covert stress responses. This groundbreaking work has earned him two U.S. and international patents, as well as recognition in scientific journals, textbook chapters, and popular media.

In the clinical realm, his practice is tailored to individuals in high-risk professions, including surgeons, pilots, athletes, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) operators and veterans. This specialization ensures that those facing the most demanding circumstances receive expert care and support.

His journey started in the field, serving as a fleet marine force (FMF) corpsman in the 2nd Marine Division taking part in combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. This hands-on experience informs his unique perspective on stress and resilience from the warfighter’s perspective.

Beyond the professional realm, he has a passion for wildlife and astrophotography, mountain biking, and spending time teaching Labrador Retrievers to hunt decoys.
